Hi everyone,
In this week's edition of Kavanah Media's Weekly Marketing Rundown, we'll talk about a new Meta ads format, in-stream chatbot tests on YouTube, and more. Let's dive in.
This week, Meta released a new format for ads called flexible. This new creative option allows advertisers to add up to 10 images and videos, giving Meta the option to display the assets in any way it believes will improve performance. As of now, this option is only available with the traffic objective and appears to work with any performance goal within that objective. There is currently no option to customize exactly how each placement will look, meaning square assets are probably best due to their compatibility with carousels.

YouTube is testing new AI tools, such as topic summaries for comments and its own conversational AI.
The new comments feature will examine comments and create topics around seemingly popular points in the video. For example, if a significant amount of people were writing comments pertaining to a section of a video talking about Kavanah Media, YouTube might create a topic in the comments titled "Kavanah Media" or something very similar.
The new conversational AI tool will allow viewers to ask questions about the video they are watching. Creators will also be able to enter their own prompts to explore certain topics.

A new Instagram feature allows users to share their favorite comments to Stories, which could lead to more discussions and increased community engagement. This feature offers various ways to boost engagement, such as celebrating the top comments in your replies. Instagram has announced that this new feature is being rolled out to users now.

In addition to the flexible creative format, there are a few more updates that hit Meta ads this week.
When changing the budget on your ad set, you will be able to see how much you can increase the budget without restarting the learning phase.
Meta has also increased their flexibility threshold for how much it can spend over the set daily budget in a given time period. Previously it was 25%, but that number has increased to 75%. If you are on a tight spend budget, use the lifetime budget option for tighter control.
